The Raw herd thins. We are coming up on the Royal Rumble and the Road to WrestleMania. That means things are going to start picking up in a hurry and WWE is going to start getting a lot more serious in a hurry. With so many things taking place at once, it is a good thing to have everyone available for WWE. That is almost never going to be the case though and it won’t be for a certain star.
There are certain parts of the Royal Rumble that fans have grown to expect. With so many things taking place over the course of a match, some of them can get lost in the shuffle, but at the same time you can almost always count on a few of them. Even if they aren’t all the most serious, it is nice to see some of them every year, just for some of the creativity alone. However, this year might be without one of the more recent impressive and entertaining moments.
It was announced during this week’s edition of Monday Night Raw that Kofi Kingston had suffered a broken jaw and will be out of action indefinitely. Kingston suffered the injury during last week’s tag team match against the Miz and John Morrison, though it is not clear when it took place in the match. Kingston did not accompany his partner Xavier Woods to the ring for his match this week and his status for the Royal Rumble is unclear.
Kingston is famous for his Royal Rumble saves. Check out some of his best work:
Opinion: That’s a shame as I always look forward to seeing what Kingston had cooked up over the course of the year. Some of the things he does are completely insane and almost hard to fathom but at the same time he makes them look so easy. I can’t imagine he’s back in time from a broken jaw but that is not the kind of injury that you want to mess with in any way.
