Maybe he’s scouting. NXT is the official WWE developmental territory, which can go a long way in determining WWE’s future. Above all else, the show is designed to help find the future stars of the promotion, which has a lot to do with the level of coaching NXT offers. You need some wise wrestlers to help offer their expertise, and that is what might have been happening this week.
According to Fightful Select, Monday Night Raw’s MVP was backstage at this week’s NXT taping. There is no word on if he was there for a specific reason or just visiting friends. MVP was originally brought back to WWE in 2020 as a part time wrestler and producer but has mainly served as an on air manager. MVP is currently managing WWE Champion Bobby Lashley.
MVP has a small history with NXT. Check out some of his time there and what he has been doing lately:
Opinion: While I’m not sure if MVP was doing any coaching here, it would be cool to see him moving into such a role. MVP has wrestled around the world and seems to have a fairly good mind for the business. That is the kind of thing that can help the younger generation out in a big way and passing that knowledge on would be a big help for the future stars of WWE.
