Monday Night Raw Ratings and Audience – April 23, 2018

These people need a break. We’re coming up on the second half of one of the busiest four week stretches WWE has ever had. The month started with WrestleMania 34, then moved to the post WrestleMania shows, the Superstar Shakeup, a South African tour, back to the United States, the Greatest Royal Rumble this week and then Backlash next week. At some point the wrestlers and the fans are going to get burned out. So how did the audience respond to this week’s Monday Night Raw?

According to 411mania.com, this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw a 1.05 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.104 million viewers. These numbers are down 21% and 14% from last week’s 1.33 demographic rating and 3.622 million viewers. The main difference was the lack of the Superstar Shakeup, which caused the rating to be the worst since February 12 and the viewership is the lowest since February 5. This week’s show was headlined by a ten woman tag.

Opinion: I’m not sure if this is much of a surprise as it was the first normal episode for a long time. There was no WrestleMania hype and no big appearances, leaving this as pretty much a run of the mill show. You have to expect the numbers to go down at that point and that’s what happened. It’s not an earth shattering decline or anything and the numbers will stabilize as the weeks go on.
