Why Monday Night Raw Was Cut Off Early

Speed it up a little. Monday Night Raw is the flagship show of the biggest wrestling company in the world and has been on the air for almost twenty eight years. There have been a lot of famous and infamous moments on the show throughout its history and that will continue to be the case for a long time to come. That does not mean it is above the rules though and that was on display this week.

Every week, Monday Night Raw is on the air for three hours, which makes it quite the long sit every time around. At the end of the day, three hours is quite the length for a television show and some fans do not seem thrilled with it being the way things go for the last eight years. There have been a few changes in those years, and now one of them got WWE in some trouble.

According to PWInsider.com, this week’s edition of Monday Night Raw was cut off early because various segments ran long and the show ran out of time. The show ended with AJ Styles holding up the WWE Title after taking out champion Drew McIntyre, but Tom Phillips’ sign off was cut off in the middle. Various segments going long may have been the reason why Riddle vs. MVP only lasted 48 seconds.

Opinion: This is one of those things that continues to amaze me. WWE has three hours every single week to put on a show and yet somehow they are needing more time to get everything in. At what point do they need to just stop doing so much and let the show breathe a bit more? That is the kind of thing that should be easy to solve but for some reason it seems to keep flaring up. Fix that kind of thing already, because it makes you look bad.
