He did it. While AEW has not been around for that many years, the company has already built up a history with several important moments taking place. This includes championships and various other accomplishments. It can be a big deal when something is done for the first time though and now that has been done again, with the person who accomplished the feat having something to say.

As of Wednesday, Maxwell Jacob Friedman has officially become the longest reigning AEW World Champion in history. Friedman has now held the title for 347 days, breaking Kenny Omega’s record of 346 days. Friedman has commented on the accomplishment, listing off things that he wants to do, including reaching one year as champion. His next scheduled title defense is set for November 18 at Full Gear.
At the stroke of midnight ill be the longest reigning world champion in AEW history.
I’ve grown so much during this reign. But Im not yet satisfied.

Opinion: That is quite the impressive feat as Friedman has managed to hold onto the championship longer than anyone else in the history of AEW. The reign has elevated him that much higher up the ladder and his natural talents have already given him quite a bit. It should be interesting to see what he can do with the title going forward, as the reign could last for a long time.
