Life after/during wrestling. As the biggest wrestling promotion in the world, WWE has a lot of resources that other companies don’t have. With the amount of money at their disposal, WWE can do all kinds of things to establish themselves even further as the strongest wrestling company around. One of their strengths is in their training facilities and someone new is coming around to make it better.

The WWE Performance Center is unlike anything in all of wrestling. The facility is as impressive as almost any in American sports with everything you could ever need as a wrestler. It has rings, promo areas, gym equipment and a medical center, among other things. At the same time though, it has a host of coaches who can guide the wrestlers in the right direction. Recently, a surprising name was temporarily added to their ranks.

According to Fightful Select by way of Sportskeeda.com, former Raw Tag Team Champion Ken Doane recently served as a guest coach at the WWE Performance Center. Doane is thirty three years old and wrestled for WWE when he was nineteen as part of the Spirit Squad. While he left WWE in 2008, he has wrestled extensively on the independent circuit since, including in Major League Wrestling in 2019. There is no word on if he will be back for another stint.

Doane, under the name Kenny Dykstra, has been around. Check out some of his time in WWE:

Opinion: This is one of those things that you don’t expect to hear as Doane is hardly someone with an all time career in WWE. That being said, he is still young and has wrestled in a lot of places. That is valuable to the Performance Center so it’s worth a shot to try Doane out for a week. Maybe he can do some good stuff for them and it’s not like they have much to lose with him in there.

Are you surprised by Doane getting a chance? Will he wrestle for WWE again? Let us know in the comments below.
