He’s in. There have been several major moments in the history of AEW, many of which involve wrestlers making their first appearance with the company. The main event of WrestleDream saw Christian Cage defeat Darby Allin to retain the TNT Title. Following the match, Sting attempted to save Allin but was also attacked by Cage. This led to Adam Copeland, formerly known as Edge in WWE, to make a surprise debut to save Sting. During the WrestleDream press scrum, Copeland revealed that he will be full time with AEW and will face Luchasaurus on October 10.
You might remember him. Check out his debut and some of Copeland’s recent times:
Opinion: This is certainly a big get for AEW and Copeland is going to feel like one of the biggest stars in AEW. I’m not sure how often he’ll be in the ring, but he already had a great debut and he’ll be in the ring in less than two weeks. That alone should make for a nice start and we can see where things go from here, but things are looking up from the get go, which is hard to do.
