He seems happy. It has been a very busy year in the wrestling world with one major wrestling story after another taking place. The biggest of them all has been the resignation of Vince McMahon from WWE, as the company is now under new control for the first time in decades. It was not clear how much of a difference that would make but now a prominent WWE name is weighing in.
WWE broadcaster Michael Cole appeared on the Pat McAfee Show to discuss how the company has changed since McMahon retired. Cole said that everything has been great, especially behind the scenes. He described it as a different world, with ratings and stories being positive. Cole called McMahon “a second dad in many ways” and the only person he had ever worked under in wrestling. Finally, Cole said that things had to keep going though and the show must go on.
Cole has been around for a long time. Check out an awesome salute to his career:
Opinion: It is still weird to see WWE without McMahon around but it does seem that some people are rather pleased with how things are going. McMahon is known for being a bit much to commentators so Cole being able to play it a bit cooler on commentary must be nice for a change. WWE will go on without McMahon and things will be different, but for some they do seem to be better.
