Not exactly vintage. He might not be the most popular name in the company, but Michael Cole is one of the most consistent performers the company has. Cole has been around for twenty years now and has been the voice of “Monday Night Raw” for a good chunk of that time period. He’s going to be missed when he’s gone and we’ll be getting a preview of that this coming week.

According to WWE.com, Cole will miss this week’s upcoming “Monday Night Raw” due to attending his son’s wedding. This will be only the second show that Cole has missed in his twenty year WWE career. “Smackdown Live” lead commentator Tom Phillips will fill in for Cole on Monday.

In case you don’t like Cole:

John Cena vs. Michael Cole: Raw, June 4, 2012

Opinion: That’s quite the impressive run as you’re going to have people just miss some work every now and then. To be there every single week and miss one show every ten years is far from shabby. Cole might not be everyone’s favorite but he’s certainly consistent, which is a lot better than some of the options they have otherwise.
