It has to be done. There are all kinds of injuries in wrestling and some of them can be incredibly serious. During a recent edition of his Grilling JR podcast, WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross revealed that Jerry Lawler needs a knee replacement. Ross said he had been speaking to Lawler about a potential autograph circuit tour but Lawler’s knee has to be replaced. He did not know when the surgery would be taking place. Lawler is still recovering from a stroke earlier this year, though he did make a surprise appearance last week on Monday Night Raw.
They have a history. Check out Ross and Lawler in WWE, plus Lawler’s return:
Opinion: That’s the kind of thing that could do quite a bit of good for Lawler as a knee replacement can do a lot of good for someone’s quality of life. At the very least, Lawler seems to be recovering well from his stroke, as he was able to come into the arena and greet the fans. There are other problems he has to deal with, but at least things seem to be moving in the right direction.
