Not so fast? We are almost three months removed from WrestleMania 39 and less than a week away from WWE Money In The Bank. Those are two of the bigger events on WWE’s calendar and quite a bit of time has passed between the shows. One specific name has been missing for the entire time now, and despite rumors to the contrary, tha tname might not be back as soon as expected.

Former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre has not been seen on WWE TV since WrestleMania 39 due to a series of injuries as well as a contract dispute. Earlier this month, a rumor emerged that WWE creative wants McIntyre back soon, even as early as Money In The Bank. However, according to PW Insider Elite, despite WWE creative hoping that McIntyre will return soon, there has been no discussion of him coming back. That does not mean McIntyre will not be returning, but it does not seem likely at the moment.

McIntyre has quite the resume in WWE. Check out some of his time in the company:

Opinion: That is more than a bit disappointing as McIntyre being back would be a great boost for WWE. Right now that doesn’t seem likely, but there is always the chance that he will be back in the fold later on. What matters is that there are at least some rumblings about a potential return, so maybe the situation is not quite as dire as it might have seemed in recent weeks.

What do you think of McIntyre? How would you use him when he is back? Let us know in the comments below.
