Maybe Later? Update On Status Of 41 Year Old WWE Producer After Recent Attack

It was just a one off. There are a lot of different people who have to come together to make a wrestling show work. While the wrestlers themselves get the majority of the attention, there are several other names who help to make the show work. You will regularly see some of these wrestlers in front of the camera, but, in what might be a surprise, you might not be seeing one of them return to the ring.

This week on Monday Night Raw, Seth Rollins and Bobby Lashley got in a brawl in the ring. Referees and agents were brought in to try and break things up, resulting in Lashley spearing down WWE producer Petey Williams. This has led to speculation that Williams may be returning to the ring, but according to Fightful Select, there are no plans for that to be the case. Williams, 41 years old, who has never wrestled for WWE, last wrestled on October 31, 2021.

Opinion: That spear was the kind of moment you could see turned into some kind of a story but apparently WWE is not going in that direction. Granted that might be due to the fact that Williams has no history in WWE so there might not be much of an audience for the story. Lashley looked like a monster during the segment though and that is entirely the point, with Williams helping to make it happen.
