There is only so much room. WWE is the biggest and most prominent wrestling promotion in the world and a wrestler getting a spot in the company can make their career. The company has to replenish its roster every so often by hiring new stars, but there are only so many spots available. Now we know something new about what the company is doing at the moment.

According to Fightful Select, WWE has not made any main roster hires since last year when Triple H brought back a variety of released stars. There are sources who believe that there is a hiring freeze since Vince McMahon returned to WWE and began the process of selling the company, though that is not official. WWE had been interested in bringing in names such as the Authors of Pain, Brian Cage and Tama Tonga among others, though there is nothing to suggest that they will be signed. It is not clear when WWE will begin hiring again now that the company has been sold to Endeavor.

Opinion: It makes sense that WWE would not want to bring in a bunch more people when they are trying to sell the company. At the same time though, it can be disappointing to see these talented names out there not being able to come in to WWE over issues behind the scenes. It would be great to see the company bring them in, though that might not be the case for a good while.
