That’s an upgrade. If there is one thing that WWE has a lot of, it is pay per view events. There are so many shows available that it is almost hard to keep track of them all, which is not the best thing in the world a lot of the time. Thankfully that is not the only way to go about doing things, with AEW showing that a different setup can work as well. Now we know more of what they have planned.
We are less than two weeks away from AEW Revolution, which will be the second edition of the show. AEW does not frequently run pay per view events, making it all the more special when they actually present one. As a result, Revolution needs to be set up well and while the main event, an exploding barbed wire deathmatch, is set, there are other things to put on the card. AEW handled some of that this weke.
AEW announced two new matches for Revolution during this week’s edition of Dynamite. This week saw the additions of Miro and Kip Sabian vs. Chuck Taylor and Orange Cassidy, plus the Casino Battle Royal with currently six teams competing for a future Tag Team Title shot. More teams could be added in the future. In addition, Lance Archer qualified for the Face of the Revolution ladder match, making him the fourth entrant.
There were some big moments this week. Check out how the card has been set up:
Opinion: The card is starting to look better and better, which is one of the best things that you can say about a pay per view. Hopefully the card lives up to the hype, which could make for one of the better things in AEW in a long time. The matches that were added to the card this week are the kind that can give it a nice boost, and if they do well at the pay per view, we could be in good shape.
