Sounds like a plan. We are less than two months away from WrestleMania 38 and that means, at least in theory, that WWE has a plan for what they are going to be doing for the biggest event of the year. WWE has already set up a few matches for the show, but there is something else on the way there in the form of Elimination Chamber. Now it seems that a match for the show is part of a bigger plan for one specific wrestler.

According to Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE has a plan in mind for Drew McIntyre’s road to WrestleMania. McIntyre returned from a neck injury at the Royal Rumble in January but is not completely healed. As a result, he will not wrestle on live events but will appear on television. He is expected to face Madcap Moss at Elimination Chamber and likely Happy Corbin at WrestleMania. McIntyre could be completely healed after WrestleMania in early April.

Opinion: There is a bit to unpack here, as not only is McIntyre not quite healed up, but he might be facing Corbin at WrestleMania. That is hardly the most inspiring match for him, but WWE has long since shown that they think a lot of Corbin’s value. Above all else, it is great to see McIntyre back whatsoever, even though he was not gone that long in the first place. Hopefully he is healthy for WrestleMania, as he has certainly earned the stage after everything he has done.
