Not so fast my friends. One of the biggest stories that has been teased for over a year now has been the Four Horsewomen vs. Four Horsewomen feud. The idea of the Four Horsewomen of Mixed Martial Arts facing the Four Horsewomen of NXT was very appealing and was even teased back at the Mae Young Classic. Some things have changed since then and now we have a big update.

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, there are no plans to do a feud between the two groups, at least not for the time being. With Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey set for a match at WrestleMania 35, the story isn’t taking place anytime soon. Rousey teased the feud after Sunday’s match against Sasha Banks, but it doesn’t seem to be taking place.

Rousey wasn’t happy with things. Check out this nice little tease:

Ronda Rousey doesn't like Sasha Banks saying "Four Horsewomen": WWE Exclusive, Jan. 27, 2019

And of course how we got here. Check out the initial showdown, which seemed to indicate it was coming:

Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch & Bayley confront Ronda Rousey, M.Shafir & J. Duke: Sept. 5, 2017

Opinion: I can’t say I’m surprised at the feud not taking place, as we don’t really have a lot of time left and there’s only so much that can be done around this time. Lynch and Rousey are far bigger stars than almost anyone else involved (certainly on the MMA side) and the feud would seem like a bit of a chore to set up. It would be cool, but let it get the build it deserves.
