Warm up the moving van? The Wednesday Night Wars have been one of the more interesting wrestling stories over the last year and a half and that is hardly a surprise. The battle between NXT and AEW Dynamite has given fans a miniature version of the drama of the Monday Night Wars, though this one has been a bit more one sided. Things are still changing and now it might be the big finale.

One of the problems with the Wednesday Night Wars is having a pair of two hour shows taking place on the same night at the same time. It can make for a very long night and that is going to take away some of the impact a fan can have from watching the second show. It makes sense for one company to want to counter the other, but that may no longer be the case.

According to PWInsider, NXT is still scheduled to move to Tuesday nights starting on April 13. This comes after the NHL and NBC Sports had come to an impasse regarding negotiations on a television rights package. However, the move is taking place anyway with WWE’s internal calendar lists the first episode after WrestleMania 37 will be on April 13. WWE has yet to announce the move.

NXT has been a hit on Wednesdays and Tuesdays. Check out how it has gone on both nights:

Top 10 NXT Moments: WWE Top 10, March 10, 2021

The best moments from the 60-minute 4-Way Iron Man Match: NXT Super Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2020

Rhea Ripley vs. Mercedes Martinez – Steel Cage Match: NXT Super Tuesday II, Sept. 8, 2020

Opinion: This is quite the relief as NXT moving to Tuesday nights is one of the best things that could happen to the show. At the end of the day, having both NXT and Dynamite on the same night at the same time is more annoying than good and it should be interesting to see how both of them do with no competition. Let the competition end so the shows can grow on their own already.
