Not so fast my friend. In the last year, one of the few matches that seemed to have been carved into stone for “Wrestlemania XXXIII” was Big Show vs. Shaquille O’Neal in the celebrity showcase match. Over the last week or so, it has seemed that the match had fallen through but things might have changed with just under a month to go.

According to PWInsider.com, O’Neal has said that negotiations between himself and WWE are back on. O’Neal said:

“I’ve talked to somebody high up in the organization, and they – we’re back talking again. I just want the people to know it had nothing to do with me, despite what you hear.”

Regarding Big Show’s comments that O’Neal was scared of getting in the ring with him, O’Neal said:

“No, I haven’t seen them. We talked yesterday. I didn’t know that. I’m going to see you. I’m not worried about it Big Show. I’m going to see you. The world ain’t that big for me not to see you.”

Opinion: I never bought the idea that the match was off in the first place so this isn’t exactly shocking for me. It felt more like a way to tease that the match wasn’t going to be taking place to drum up interest and then have it at the last minute. I’m not wild on seeing the match but the whole thing will take maybe fifteen minutes including entrances so I’m not too worried.
