It’s less than a week away. Summerslam has come and gone and that means it’s time to start moving forward on the next major set of stories. Some of those started to come into focus this week on Monday Night Raw, when the OC seemed ready to start feuding with the combined forces of Ricochet, Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman. We aren’t wasting time either as the first big match is now set.

As announced on, Strowman will challenge AJ Styles for the United States Title on next week’s Monday Night Raw. The match was set up after Styles challenged Strowman to face him for the title after this week’s Monday Night Raw went off the air. Strowman has never held a singles title in WWE, with his lone title reign being a Tag Team Title reign with Nicholas.

Ask and receive. Check out Styles’ challenge:

Opinion: This match screams no contest or an OC run in for the DQ but it’s a smart idea to set something up like this so far in advance. WWE has a bad habit of making these matches on the same night that they take place and that’s not the most efficient method of advertising. This lets some interest build up for six days and then more people might want to see what is going on. Why is that so complicated?

How do you see the match going? Who leaves as champion? Let us know in the comments below.
