Strength in numbers. Stables are one of the more tried and true methods of pushing people in wrestling. When you get the right formula and have everything going as it should, a stable can push people up to a level they have never reached before. Maybe it is due to the group getting more television time or having a clearer purpose, but stables can work out rather well. That might be the case on Monday Night Raw.

When he debuted in the WWE back in 2005, Bobby Lashley looked like a can’t miss prospect. He was big, strong, agile, had an amateur wrestling background, and could do almost everything. The one miss was his promos, which almost never came around. That can be helped with a manager though, and that is where we get back to the idea of a stable.

This week on Monday Night Raw, MVP told Lashley to show more aggression and see how far he could go. Later in the night, Lashley attacked R-Truth after R-Truth had pinned MVP in a six man tag. Lashley knocked R-Truth out with a full nelson and left with MVP, though MVP’s partners and clients Brendan Vink and Shane Throne did not leave with them. There is no word on whether Vink or Thorne will continue to be associated with MVP.

Lashley and MVP were busy on Monday. Check out what happened to them throughout the night:

Opinion: I don’t know if this is the solution for Lashley but it’s not like anything else is going to work for him. Lashley isn’t getting any younger and it’s not like he’s been able to do much at the top of WWE. He has been in the midcard for so long now and it would make sense for him to move on up. However, that is assuming the pairing with MVP works and that is certainly not guaranteed. At least WWE seems to be trying though and you can’t succeed if you don’t try.

What do you think of the pairing? How far can it go? Let us know in the comments below.
