Could it really be over? About ten months ago, Neville walked out on WWE and hasn’t been seen since. This was quite the blow for the cruiserweight division as Neville had torn the house down for most of the year, carrying the division on his back with one great performance after another. The long wait has become a game of seeing who would give in first and while we may not know who caused it, the game seems to have come to an end.

According to a new report from Prowrestlingsheet.com, Neville is no longer under a WWE contract. It is currently not clear whether Neville is under a no compete clause or if he is able to wrestle elsewhere immediately. Neville last wrestled for WWE on September 26 before leaving the company early the next month due to dissatisfaction with the direction of his character.

Opinion: Really, this is the only way that this could have gone. It was clear that neither side was going to be budging on either of these issues so it was better for them to just part. Neville is someone with a lot of talent, but that can’t be utilized sitting on the sideline. Hopefully he can go and perform somewhere else, as it would be a shame for that much ability to go to waste.
