They had to do something. Sometimes something happens in real life that changes the way a storyline works. For one reason or another, a story can’t continue the way it was originally planned because something more important takes place. There is no way around these things and the story has to be adjusted as a result. That was the case this week and WWE has shaken things up a bit.

One of the biggest, and certainly the most disturbing, stories of the week was Sonya Deville’s house being invaded in an attempted kidnapping. This could have been a horrible tragedy but luckily Deville was able to get out of the house, along with Mandy Rose, who had been staying with her. This was quite the relief, but also presented a bit of a problem as Rose and Deville had been feuding on WWE TV, including setting up a hair vs. hair match at Summerslam. That will no longer be an issue.

This week on SmackDown, Rose spoke about the issues that Deville had been going through this week and asked if the two of them could go back to how things had been before. Deville refused, and said that instead of the hair vs. hair match, the two would face off in a No Disqualification Loser Leaves WWE match. There is no word on why WWE made the change.

They have had a rocky road to get here. Check out what set the match up:

Opinion: They were in a weird situation with this one and this is as good of a move as they could have right now. I’m not sure of it but it wouldn’t surprise me if this is being done to give Deville time off to deal with the stalker incident and just clear her head a bit. There is nothing wrong with that as one thing going differently could have seen Deville (and possibly Rose) dead. That isn’t the kind of thing you just shrug off and if Deville needs some time to deal with things, I think it’s fairly understandable.

What do you think of the new stipulations? How do you see the match going? Let us know in the comments below.
