Major Bayley Update, “Summerslam” Status Confirmed

And so much for that. We’re less than two weeks away from “Summerslam 2017” and the card seems to be mostly set. However, as you know from watching wrestling all these years, some things are never set in stone and that’s the case again this year. Injuries can cut any match off at any given moment and it’s happened again.

WWE has posted a new video to its Twitter with a big update on Bayley’s status, which you can see below:

Bayley has suffered a separated shoulder and is officially out of her match at “Summerslam 2017”. Bayley was scheduled to challenge Alexa Bliss for the Raw Women’s Title at the pay per view but was injured in a match against Nia Jax last week on “Monday Night Raw”. There will be two triple threat matches this week with the winners facing off next week for the title shot against Bliss.

Opinion: That’s quite the disappointment and while you can almost immediately pencil in Sasha Banks, the key to the whole thing is going to be how they tie Bayley back in. There’s no word on how long Bayley is going to be out of action but this sounds like a very easy way to tie this into the long awaited Banks heel turn.
