Back to active. Injuries are some of the worst things that can happen in wrestling as they can derail anyone’s momentum out of nowhere. There is always the chance that someone can need time away from the ring due to something going wrong, but it does leave the door open for a special return to the ring later on. That is what took place this week as a popular star is back off the injured list.

Nikkita Lyons made her return to the ring at the NXT live event in Davenport, Florida this weekend, teaming with Dante Chen to win a mixed tag. Lyons has been out of action since January when she tore her ACL and meniscus. Her return to the ring was a surprise as it was not announced or advertised in advance. There is no word on when she will return to NXT television.

She’s a star. Check out Lyons in the ring:

Opinion: This is the second return that Lyons has had to make and her previous run didn’t even last two months. She is a ball of charisma and the fans react to her but it isn’t going to matter if she is unable to stay healthy. It’s great to have her back though, as she can instantly be slotted up pretty high on the card. Just stay healthy though, as that is more important than anything else.
