To the other side. The rise of AEW has opened up a brand new world for professional wrestlers, as they now have a new place to go after WWE being the dominant force for such a long time. This allows wrestlers a new place to go on a big stage and it can make for a big moment when one of them shows up. That was the case this week, though it did not take place on camera.

As shown on Twitter, former WWE ring announcer JoJo Offerman served as ring announcer for a dark match at this week’s edition of AEW Collision. There is no word on if she will appear on AEW TV in the future. She served as WWE’s ring announcer from 2016-2018 before leaving the company in 2021. AEW has not acknowledged Offerman making an appearance at the show.

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that makes for a nice surprise, as fans are going to remember Offerman and might be happy to see her. I’m not sure if she is going to show up in AEW again but even if this was a tryout, it’s better than nothing and might give her something of a foot back into wrestling, assuming that is something she wants to do. Offerman is a talented performer and if this is it for her, it’s nice to see.
