That’s a weird one. The big story in WWE over the last few years has absolutely been Roman Reigns, who has now held the Universal Title for over 1,000 days. In addition, he has been the WWE Champion for almost 500 days, which is no small feat in itself. One would think that would keep things rather standard, but that was certainly not the case over the weekend.

The main event of this weekend’s Money In The Bank saw the Usos defeat Reigns and Solo Sikoa. As is usually the case, Reigns’ special counsel Paul Heyman accompanied him to the ring while carrying the former Universal and WWE titles. An image spread online shows that the WWE Championship features the side plates from Brock Lesnar’s, the former champion, time with the title. There is no word on why the plates were there instead of Reigns’ usual plates.
Who wore it better? Check out Reigns and Lesnar as champion:
Opinion: Maybe there was some kind of a mix up with the titles going overseas, but that is a VERY strange mistake to make. With the plates being interchangeable with the turn of a few screws, I’m not sure why in the world that kind of a mistake would be made. In theory it’s just a one off error, as not changing the plates in over a year would be quite the strange situation.
What do you think of the mistake? Who will take the title from Reigns? Let us know in the comments below.
