Change of pace. There have been all kinds of major names in the wrestling industry over the years and as you might expect, some of them are going to deal with some rather serious issues. That can be the kind of thing that results in major problems, including some in the legal sense. That was the case last year with a WWE Hall Of Famer and now some new developments have taken place.

In May 2022, WWE Hall Of Famer Tammy Lynn Sytch, better known as Sunny, was charged in the death of a 75 year old man in a car crash when Sytch was driving. Sytch has been in jail since the arrest. According to TMZ, Sytch changed her plea from “not guilty” to “no contest” this week at hearing to a variety of charges, including:
• DUI causing death
• One felony count of driving with license suspended causing death
• Four misdemeanor counts of DUI with damage to a person
• Two misdemeanor count of DUI with damage to property
According to the Daytona Beach News-Journal, the change was part of a plea agreement with the prosecution, the counts of DUI with damage to a person and DUI with damages to property will receive punishment of concurrent sentences of time already served. The remaining charges could see Sytch sentenced to up to 25 years in prison, with one of the charges carrying a minimum four year sentence. Sytch, 50, is scheduled to be sentenced on November 27, according to PWInsider.com.
That’s some less than happy stuff. Check out some completely unrelated happier WWE moments:
Opinion: What is there to say to something like this? Sytch is someone who has a history of troubles with the law and now it has reached the point of something terrible happening. Now she is going to be punished, but she is getting a bit of a break after being behind bars for over a year now. That leaves a long time to go, but she has started with some of the punishment so far.
