A Long Time Coming: An AEW Star Is Officially A Grandfather

That’s a special moment. Wrestlers are larger than life characters who can come in a variety of forms. That can offer some interesting varieties and differences, but there are some things that make all wrestlers the same. All of them have families of their own behind the scenes and now one of them has a rather awesome addition to his family as a dynasty continues.

AEW’s Dustin Rhodes, 53 years old, has announced that he has become a grandfather, as his daughter Dakota has given birth to a son named Rowan. Rhodes said that both the mother and son are doing well and healthy. The tweet includes a photo of Rhodes holding his new grandson. Rhodes has been wrestling since 1988 and currently works for AEW as both a wrestler and a trainer.

Opinion: That is an awesome thing to see and you do not see it happening very often in wrestling. Rhodes feels like he has been around forever and now we are seeing him getting to show off his new grandson. That is one of the coolest things that can happen to anyone, including wrestlers. Hopefully everyone is happy and healthy and Rhodes gets to be as awesome of a grandfather as he has been as a wrestler.
