Locked In: LA Knight Receiving Very Special And Unique Honor

That’s a unique honor. There are all kinds of titles and championships to be won in wrestling but almost all of them are lost at some point. That leaves wrestlers with the word “former” in front of most of their accomplishments, but there are occasional things that stick around. A WWE Superstar is getting just that, but in this case it has nothing to do with wrestling.

Hagerstown, Maryland, the hometown of LA Knight, has announced that Knight will officially receive the key to the city. The ceremony will take place on December 23 at noon. Knight, real name Shaun Ricker, was born in Hagerstown in 1982 and grew up in the town, including graduating from high school in the city in 2000. The announcement ends with Knight’s YEAH catchphrase.

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that happens every so often and it is still cool to see. Hagerstown is hardly some major town but having Knight be honored by the city is a special moment. It probably means quite a bit to him to see where he came from and being such a success after this much time. Knight is on the roll of a lifetime at the moment and it should be great to see where he goes next.
