The more things change. Just like the rest of WWE, Monday Night Raw is in an interesting place at the moment. We are getting closer and closer to WrestleMania 36 and that means it is time to start getting things ready for the road to the show. With so many stories to cover on the show, WWE needs to start figuring out some of their bigger ideas. That can including making some adjustments to one that is already taking place.

The current top story on Monday Night Raw is focused around Seth Rollins, who is taking over the show and amassing an army of followers. This currently includes the AOP and Buddy Murphy, meaning it is going to take a lot of people to fight back against them. So far that includes Kevin Owens, Samoa Joe and Big Show, but you might want someone else in the lineup. That may be the case in the near future.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the current plan is to have Rey Mysterio replace Big Show in the battle against Rollins and company. Big Show was never planned to be a long term addition to the main event scene and is mainly only there to help put the younger wrestlers over. At the moment, Mysterio is feuding with Andrade for the United States Title, including a ladder match for the title next week on Monday Night Raw.

Can you picture Mysterio in this spot? Check out the big showdown from this week’s Monday Night Raw:

Opinion: Mysterio is likely a better option for the feud as he is a more versatile performer and can do more things against different opponents. Big Show is better than he is given credit for but he is also more one dimensional than Mysterio. It also helps that Mysterio and Rollins have some more personal issues, as Big Show feels a bit more added on than someone who naturally fits.
