When Legends Fight: Two Former WWE World Champions Have Teased Their First Ever Singles Match

I’d watch. There have been all kinds of wrestlers throughout WWE history but only a few of them reach the highest levels in the company. Stars who become that important are able to do a variety of things that others can’t in the company, including having various dream matches against other stars. Now two such names are teasing just that, even if it is a pairing you might not have thought about before.

Earlier this year, WWE tweeted out a clip of Sheamus and Edge meeting in the ring for the first time back in 2010, albeit not in a match. This led to a Twitter exchange between the two, where a match was teased. Both seemed interested in the match, but nothing has come of it yet. The two have competed against each other before in a variety of matches, including four ways, triple threats and battle royals, but they have never had a singles match against each other. There is no word on if WWE is planning to make the match, but the two of them have expressed interest.

Opinion: Sure why not. There are certain matches that you might never have thought of before that have all kinds of potential and that might be the case here. Edge and Sheamus are both all time legends in WWE and both have won just about everything that there is to win. Having a match between them could be rather interesting and maybe that is something WWE has planned for the two down the road.
