You can always use a legend. The Women’s Revolution has completely changed the way women’s wrestling works in WWE but it is not the first place to have a top level women’s division. Women’s wrestling has been a major deal for decades in Japan with some of the most talented wrestlers anywhere. One of the most famous of all time is on their way back to WWE.
The Mae Young Classic did a great job of introducing the American wrestling audience to several new stars. While several of them had been known on the independent wrestling scene and internationally, this was the first time that several of them had been seen on such a wide scale in America. Some of the names included made an impact, and one will be around a lot more often.
According to Tokyo Sports by way of Wrestlinginc.com, Meiko Satomura will be joining NXT UK as both a wrestler and a trainer. As a result, Satomura will be working less frequently with the Sendai Girls promotion in Japan. There is no word on when she will be starting with NXT UK. Satomura took part of the second Mae Young Classic and made it to the semifinals where she lost to Toni Storm.
She made an impact. Check out what Satomura did in the tournament:
Opinion: That’s quite the positive upgrade as Satomura is indeed a legend and someone who could do a lot of good things anywhere she went. You don’t get to come across someone like her every day and it’s great to see her getting the chance to pass on what she has learned. Fans are going to know a few things about her no matter what and WWE will let us know a lot about her. This is a nice thing to hear and I can’t imagine it going badly.
