Happy Anniversary! Christopher Daniels is one of the longest tenured modern wrestlers to never win a World Title. He’s held midcard titles and multiple Tag Team Titles but he’s never been able to win the big one, either in TNA or Ring of Honor. It’s been a long road for Daniels and he’s never managed to win the big one….until tonight.

Daniels finally won the Ring of Honor World Title at the “15th Anniversary Show” by defeating champion Adam Cole.

The match was built around the idea of Daniels’ best friend and tag partner joining Cole and the Bullet Club, only to have Kazarian reveal that it was a ruse.

Daniels defeated Cole after three Best Moonsaults Ever. Also of note: on the same show, Kazarian became the new #1 contender to the same title.

Opinion: Daniels has won me over in this run and it’s quite the story that’s brought him to the title. There’s something about the idea of someone having one last run to FINALLY get the one thing he’s never accomplished. Daniels is doing some of the best mic work of his life at this point and it’s a great thing to finally see him win the World Title.

I've Measured My Life With This

Will Cole get the title back? Does Kazarian take the title from Daniels? Let us know in the comments below.
