Not this time. We are closing out one of the biggest years in the history of WWE, with the company being moved into the hands of new ownership. This has resulted in various changes being made to the company, though the company has continued with some of its old traditions. One however will not be taking place, despite being aired for almost twenty straight years.

According to Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE will not be taping a Tribute To The Troops special this year, suggesting that the show has been quietly canceled. The event has taken place since 2003, with all the 2019 edition being aired on television. There is no word on why the show is not airing this year or if the show will be returning in any form in the future.

Opinion: I’m not sure why WWE has seemingly canceled the event, but it would not surprise me if it is due to the return of Saturday Night’s Main Event. With the special returning less than a month ago, it would not make sense to have another special like Tribute To The Troops airing so soon. Maybe it comes back one day, but for now it seems like the show is over after about twenty years.
