He’s trying. AEW has been going through some changes in recent months and there is nothing to indicate that everything is wrapped up. One of the biggest changes has been the introduction of AEW Collision, a third weekly show. While AEW already had Rampage, Collision has something of its own roster, and those wrestlers came together in an important way last weekend.

According to Fightful Select, there was a talent meeting held before the July 8 edition of Collision. The meeting was run by CM Punk and was exclusive to the Collision roster. The focus of the meeting was how to make Collision better, including how to make it different than Dynamite. Some safety guidelines, as well as things that are good or bad for the show, including finishes, were mentioned too.

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that can go a long way for Punk, who is going to be the top star on Collision for the foreseeable future. If Punk is going to be able to make something like this better then good for him, but there is always going to be the feeling of a time bomb with him around. Hopefully things keep going well, though we are just starting what could be a rather long road.
