Last Step: Major NXT Star Bids Farewell, On Way To Main Roster

Movin on up. There are some very talented wrestlers on the WWE roster and many of them are down in NXT. It can be a big deal when one of the top NXT stars is able to move up to the main roster. Occasionally a wrestler will be part of two different rosters at the same time and that was the case again coming into this week. However, it is not the case after the show was over.

Earlier this year, Bron Breakker appeared in the Royal Rumble match and tied the mark for the most eliminations. Following this, a bidding war for Breakker began between Monday Night Raw and SmackDown. Breakker eventually signed with SmackDown before going on to win the NXT Tag Team Titles with Baron Corbin. This week, Breakker and Corbin lost the titles to Axiom and Nathan Frazer. Following the show, Breakker bid farewell to NXT as he is moving to SmackDown full time. Breakker is a two time NXT Champion and a one time NXT Tag Team Champion.

Opinion: You knew this was going to happen sooner or later as Breakker was already moved up to the main roster and just had to wrap up everything in NXT. It is pretty clear that Breakker is going to be a big star in WWE and there is only so much that he can get out of staying in NXT. For now, Breakker should be in for a big move and it is nice to see Breakker getting this kind of an NXT sendoff.
