That’s not much time. Wrestling is a tricky sport to follow as there are things changing at the blink of an eye. You never know when you are going to see something change out of nowhere and it can make a big difference with multiple other people. That was the case again this week as an absence resulted in a title change, and now we know a bit more about what happened.

This week’s edition of AEW Dynamite saw Orange Cassidy defeat Rey Fenix to become the new International Champion. Cassidy, the former champion, took the place of an injured Jon Moxley, who was unable to challenge for the title as scheduled. According to Fightful Select, AEW did not know that Moxley would not be able to compete until Tuesday afternoon. It is not known when Moxley will be able to return to the ring.

Moxley is quite the star when he is around. Check out what he has done in AEW:

Opinion: The title change did seem to be a bit out of nowhere and it is not surprising to see that Moxley was a last second scratch. The act that AEW was still checking on him at the last minute makes me wonder how bad things are for him, as it seems that they were trying to keep an eye on him for as long as possible. What matters is getting Moxley back to full health, but that could take a good while.

What do you think of Moxley’s absence? What is next for him when he gets back? Let us know in the comments below.
