That explains a bit. One thing that you learn while watching wrestling is that there are often two sides to every story. Sometimes you see something that does not make a lot of sense but becomes much clearer when more details emerge. That can be a very good thing as it can make a lot of things seem more logical. Hopefully that is the case with some new information on a new story.
One of the bigger WWE stories of the week was the release of Lars Sullivan, who had not appeared on WWE television since November. The release came after one of the rockiest roads in all of WWE history, which involved one issue after another. It probably did not come as the biggest surprise, but now we know the other side of the story and it might explain a good bit.
Sullivan spoke to Fightful Select following his release and revealed some details about what happened. The main issue was Sullivan’s anxiety issues, which had initially delayed his call up to the main roster. Those issues were made worse when Sullivan’s father passed away in 2020. Sullivan said that he told WWE he could not wrestle anymore and the company released him with “compassion and honesty”. In addition, Sullivan said that his wrestling career was probably over. He also took full responsibility for his previous actions and did not blame WWE for the release.
Opinion: This is not the easiest thing to see but at the end of the day, there is only so much that can be done in a situation like this one. Sullivan clearly had some serious issues and unfortunately they kept him from being able to be in the ring. That certainly explains several of the issues in his career, and while it does not make up for some of the things he said, it does clear up several major things.
