Kurt Angle Hints At Possible WWE Royal Rumble Appearance

That would be big. There are all kinds of people who show up for the Royal Rumble almost every year, some of whom you might not have seen in a long time. Occasionally you will see a legend who has not appeared for WWE in a good while and perhaps even see them in one of the Royal Rumble matches. While not confirmed, that is what one legend is at least teasing in some way.

According to Fightful Select, Kurt Angle has reportedly been telling people that he was contacted to do something at this weekend’s Royal Rumble event. There is no word on what that role may be or how he might be used, or if Angle agreed to appear. Angle has not wrestled since WrestleMania 35 in 2019, though he has made appearances since then. Angle is also set for WrestleCon in Indianapolis, the site of the show.

Opinion: I could see WWE trying something like this, though hopefully Angle is not getting in the ring after all of the surgeries that he has had over the years. Angle is someone who has been so banged up over the years and that is going to start taking a large toll on his body. It would be nice to see him doing something, but for now it makes more sense for him to stay out of the ring.
