It can take some getting used to. WWE is the biggest and most powerful wrestling promotion in the world and has been for a long time now. That being said, there are certain things that take place in the promotion that are more than a big odd. Many of them come from Vince McMahon, and apparently one of his oddities had a longtime WWE personality thinking he would be fired.

Corey Graves appeared on the Kurt Angle Show and told a story about doing live commentary on Monday Night Raw on Christmas night. Graves and Michael Cole were discussing what they were going to say, with Cole saying “Happy Holidays” during the broadcast. As Cole was talking, Vince McMahon could be heard in Graves’ headset, complaining about the term rather being used rather than “Merry Christmas”. Graves believed that he would be fired but McMahon was ultimately messing with him and nothing came of the situation.

Opinion: That is about as McMahon of a thing as you can imagine, as he messed with one of his commentators live on one of the biggest holidays of the year. McMahon has been yelling at the commentary team for years and it is always something that feels a bit overblown. That seems to be the case here, but the fact that McMahon might not have been serious does lighten things up a good bit.
