That could be worse. There are all kinds of things that can happen to wrestlers in the ring and many of them can change the wrestler’s life in a bad way. Unfortunately that does not stop being the case when their careers are over as you never know when you are going to see something rather bad happen to someone. That was the case earlier this year for a wrestling legend, but now we have a positive update.

Back in February, WWE Hall Of Famer Jerry Lawler suffered a stroke at his home in Florida, though he has since returned to his hometown of Memphis, Tennessee. In a new video for SportsKeeda’s Wrestlebinge by way of Wrestlingnews.co, Bill Apter said that he spoke to Lawler earlier this week and said that Lawler was doing better after their previous conversation about three weeks ago. Apter said that Lawler was having some memory issues and could not always finish a sentence, though he was now reacting to things that he was not recognizing before. There is no word on how long it could take for Lawler to fully recover.

Lawler is a different kind of legend. Check out some of his time in WWE:

Opinion: That is great to hear as anything positive about Lawler is a good thing. Lawler’s health has been an issue for a long time now and this is another big setback. The fact that Lawler is able to be on the phone with someone and hold a conversation is a nice thing to see and hopefully a sign of many better things to come. Lawler is an all time legend and it is great to see him improving, even a little bit.

What do you think of Lawler’s career? Was he better in the ring or on commentary? Let us know in the comments below.
