Just Made It: Why Last Week's NXT Was Almost Cut Off Before The Finish

They barely made it. There are quite a few WWE television shows every single week, to the point where it can often feel like the shows are on all the time. At some point though there is a limit on the amount of time that the shows have and they do end one way or another. In this case though, one of the shows almost ran out of time before everything was done as the closing segment ran long.

This week’s NXT featured with an in-ring showdown between Roxanne Perez and Giulia, with Stephanie Vaquer appearing on the Titantron to say that she wanted to face the winner of their upcoming Women’s Title match. According to Fightful Select, the show went over its scheduled over run time and was only seconds away before the USA Network would cut it off. This was the final show on the USA Network before next week’s debut on the CW Network.

Opinion: You hear about this kind of thing happening every so often and it can make for an interesting revelation after it takes place. Ultimately everything went properly and no one watching the broadcast was the wiser, but it isn’t surprising that USA would want to get away from things as soon as they could. It was their final show and everything was done so getting things wrapped up made sense.
