The growth continues. John Cena’s mainstream career is growing by leaps and bounds. Not only has he already landed some major film roles, he is even possibly breaking into comic book movies in the coming months. There is a lot more to him than making movies though, which is where things got even better for him in the form of a rather big television show appearance.

Cena guest hosted The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Friday, taking the regular host’s place for a one off appearance. During the show, Cena interviewed actresses Leslie Mann, Jenna Dewan and singer Melissa Etheridge while also performing some comedy bits. At the moment, there is no word on whether Cena will be brought back as a guest host again in the future.

Part of the show is about comedy. Check out Cena’s opening bit, which includes some singing:

Opinion: As usual, good for Cena. After a very long career in wrestling, it’s cool to see how things are going for him in the mainstream world. He’s one of the most charismatic names in the history of the sport and now he’s getting to see where that charisma can take him outside of wrestling. It’s been going quite well for him so far and that doesn’t seem to be stopping anytime soon.
