Backup plan. There are all kinds of talented wrestlers on the AEW roster and that means that at some point, some of them are going to move from the company. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Bad Timing: AEW Collision Could Be In Trouble This Weekend
Earlier this month, Maxwell Jacob Friedman attacked Daniel Garcia, who was stretchered out of the arena. This came as Garcia’s AEW contract was coming up for renewal and the two sides had not come to terms on a new deal. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, the angle took place in case Garcia did not sign a new contract with the company. There is no word on when, or if, Garcia will return to AEW TV.

Opinion: This is one of those things that has to be done every so often just in case and it makes sense for AEW to go in this direction. If Garcia is not going to be sticking around, there is no reason to save a spot for him. That being said, it is almost impossible to fathom Garcia not sticking around, as this is the biggest run he has ever had in his entire career and he might not have another high level place to go.
What do you think of Garcia? How should he be used in AEW? Let us know in the comments below.
