How bad is it? This past Sunday, NXT presented its latest Takeover event with Takeover: In Your House. The event was NXT’s first special February and it was time to get things back to where they had been before. The show featured six matches with a variety of talented performers, but as is always the case, there was the chance of some form of injury. At least one big NXT name was banged up at the show.

There were multiple big time matches at Takeover and one of the best was between North American Champion Keith Lee and Johnny Gargano. The two have been having issues for several weeks now, with Gargano changing his attitude and Lee not liking the new version. This resulted in the two of them beating the heck out of each other, though Gargano didn’t get out completely unscathed.

According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Gargano was hurt during the match, with both his hip and lower back being banged up during the Takeover match with Lee. At the moment it is not clear when the injuries took place during the match or how much, if any, time that Gargano could be missing. Gargano is not currently listed in the official preview for this week’s edition of NXT.

It was a physical match. Check out Gargano vs. Lee:

Opinion: Gargano is an interesting case as he was seen as the heart and soul of NXT but now he is running out of things to do in the promotion. That is going to happen when you have been around as long as Gargano has, but I’m not sure what he would be doing on the main roster. Gargano’s size would work against him, even if he had all of the other tools that anyone could ask for in a wrestler. Maybe it works out, but I wouldn’t have my hopes up.

What do you think of Gargano? How will he do on the main roster? Let us know in the comments below.
