Well, it’s no “Tales From Wrescal Lane”. Love him or hate him, John Cena is one of the biggest stars in wrestling history. He’s also becoming a mainstream star with movie and television roles. Now though, it seems that Cena is trying something new as he caters to a completely new audience.

As announced on his Twitter account, Cena has written a children’s book which will be released later this year. The book, called “Elbow Grease”, is about a small monster truck who wants to prove himself. This is Cena’s first book and will be released on October 9 of this year. The book is available for pre-order here.

Hopefully this kids’ endeavor goes better than this one:

Opinion: I’m not exactly expecting this to be a huge deal for Cena but it’s another thing to add to a long resume. If it turns into a success for him, well done indeed. It could get Cena’s name on some more people’s radar and it’s not like the book’s message is anything bad. Maybe it’s a good success and it’s not exactly the kind of thing that is going to cause any problem if it doesn’t go well.
