Where his mouth is. John Cena may not be the most universally loved wrestler of all time but he is someone who has shown that he is willing to back up his words with actions. Cena’s charity work is nearly legendary in wrestling and that is not going to stop now that he is out of the wrestling world. Cena is still someone who can do a lot of great things and he is doing that again now.

Over the last few weeks, the biggest story in the United States, if not the world, has been the massive protests brought on by the killing of George Floyd. The protests have expanded to focus more on the entire Black Lives Matter moment and the calls for massive reforms. This is not going to come cheap, and various people have been pouring in money. Cena is doing the same in a big way.

Cena has announced that he has helped match a $1 million donation to Black Lives Matter made by Korean band BTS. The band donated $1 million and its fan base, known as the BTS Army, was attempting to match it. There is no word on how much Cena donated, but the total went from about $800,000 to over $1 million in less than a day, with his tweet about the donation coming soon after the mark was passed. Cena has mentioned being a fan of the band in the past.

Cena is known for his charity work. Check out some of the things he has done before:

Opinion: I don’t know how much Cena donated but given his history, I would assume it was a rather large amount. That is the kind of thing you don’t see too often and it is always cool to see someone put their money where their mouth is. Cena has donated so much time and money to charitable causes over the years that it isn’t surprising to see him do this sort of thing. Good for him and hopefully more people follow his actions.
