That could be worse. Wrestling is a physical sport and you never know how fast someone could get hurt. There is always the chance that something could go wrong in the blink of an eye and that can change everything in a hurry. That was the case this week during a televised match, as an injury took place in real time. Thankfully though, there is a positive update.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WATCH: The Rock Returns To Monday Night Raw, Teases Roman Reigns Match
This week’s Monday Night Raw featured a tag match between Kofi Kingston/Jey Uso and Imperium. During the match, Kingston dropkicked Giovanni Vinci out of the air, resulting in Vinci suffering an injury. The referee and medical staff checked on Vinci before the referee ordered the match stopped. Vinci walked to the back after the match and later sent out a tweet saying (originally in Italian) “I’m fine. A thousand thanks.” There is no word on the nature of his injury or when he will be able to return to the ring.
Sto bene. Grazie mille ??
— Giovanni Vinci (@VinciWWE) January 2, 2024
He’s been better. Check out Vinci with some better luck:
Opinion: What matters the most here is Vinci’s health, as anything involving the head or perhaps the neck is terrible to see. The act that he was able to walk to the back was a great sign and the tweet is a relief as well. Vinci is someone who has been coming along nicely in recent weeks and it would be a shame to have him taken out of the ring, especially for something as serious as an injury.
What do you think of Vinci? What is next for him when he gets back in the ring? Let us know in the comments below.
