That’s never good to hear. There is a lot of wrestling on television today and there are a lot of people involved in every show. Some of them might not get the same amount of recognition though, as there are all kinds of people who are part of the show without actually wrestling. You can see and hear from these people every single week, but that might not be the case for one of them for the time being.
During the latest edition of his Grilling JR podcast, AEW’s Jim Ross announced that he will be undergoing radiation therapy to deal with the skin cancer on his foot. Ross said that he will know more after November 22, but there is a chance that he may have to step away from broadcasting duties with AEW. He also mentioned that he would like to be good to go by January for Dynamite’s move to TBS, but there is no word on how much, if any at all, time Ross might miss.
Ross has been a huge deal in AEW. Check out some of his time in the company:
Opinion: What matters most here is Ross getting healthy, as this is nothing to mess around with at all. Hopefully the treatment works and he is back in the booth sooner rather than later. Even if he isn’t back though, hopefully he is healthy, as no one deserves to go through something like this. Ross is the best ever at what he does and it would be great to have him around as long as possible.
What do you think of Ross? How can he be best used in AEW? Let us know in the comments below.
