During a recent interview with Inside The Ropes, WWE Hall Of Famer Kurt Angle revealed that he received two different offers from AEW but as both of them involved wrestling, he was forced to turn them down. Angle has not wrestled since 2019 and has undergone two knee replacements since then. There is no word on if Angle will appear in AEW in a non-wrestling capacity.
Angle is a star. Check out what he has done in his WWE career:
Opinion: This isn’t a big surprise as Angle is the kind of legend that any wrestling promotion would want. AEW would love to have Angle around and if they could get him back in the ring, it would be even better. That being said, I would much rather have Angle stay out of the ring if he is unable to wrestle at what he feels is an acceptable level. There is no thing wrong with that and it is nice to see Angle realize his limitations.
